Jack Bradley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Jack Bradley joined Packet Design in March of 2001 and has over 20 years of executive management experience at high technology companies including positions as general manager of the International Division of 3Com, acting CEO of NCD, and director of the Video Services Business Unit at Cisco. In addition, Bradley has held CFO positions at Precept Software, Blaze Software, Network Computing Devices and Bridge Communications. Bradley has a BS degree in Finance from the University of San Francisco.

 

Judy Estrin, CEO of JLabs, LLC

Judy Estrin is a networking technology pioneer and Silicon Valley leader. Since 1981, she has co-founded seven technology companies and served as the CTO of Cisco Systems. Currently as CEO of JLabs, LLC, she is an advisor and speaker in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation. She sits on the boards of directors of The Walt Disney Company as well as privately held Packet Design, Inc. She also served as member of the board of FedEx Corporation from 1989 until 2010, Sun Microsystems from 1995 through 2003 and Rockwell Corporation from 1994 through 1998. In addition, she sits on the advisory councils of Stanford's School of Engineering and Stanford's Bio-X initiative. Most recently, Estrin is the author of a new book titled Closing the Innovation Gap: Reigniting the Spark of Creativity in a Global Economy (McGraw-Hill; September, 2008). The book explores key concepts of innovation and challenges business, education and national leaders to work together to reignite the sustainable innovation essential for future growth.

Yogen Dalal, Managing Partner, Mayfield

Yogen Dalal is an entrepreneur, engineer and Silicon Valley executive who has been at Mayfield since 1991. He invests in the consumer and internet infrastructure software areas.

Prior to joining Mayfield, Yogen was a founding member of two startups, Claris Corporation and Metaphor Computer Systems. Yogen was also a member of the original Star and Ethernet development teams at Xerox, and a co-author of the TCP Specification in 1974 while at Stanford University. Yogen earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he was honored as a Distinguished Alum.

He serves on the board of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, a nationally acclaimed professional non-profit theater company in Ashland, Oregon, and KQED, public media for Northern California. Yogen is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs and a former board member of the Entrepreneurs Foundation and TheatreWorks.

 

Bob Hower, General Partner, Advanced Technology Ventures

Bob is ATV's East Coast lead partner for investments in information technology, specifically primarily on the internet, digital media, software sectors. He has been with ATV since 2002 and is an active board member of Acme Packet (NASDAQ:APKT), ChannelAdvisor, Packet Design, Nuventix, Sanovi, and [x+1]. Named one of Forbes’ Midas list 100 in 2007, Bob was instrumental in Acme Packet's 2006 public offering, one of the most successful IPOs in the communications sector this decade. Bob has extensive operating experience, including serving as Vice President of sales at LHS Group (EMEA), where he built the company's Enhanced Services Division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.  He was also a member of the senior management team at Priority Call Management (PCM). Prior to LHS Group’s acquisition of PCM in 1999, Bob helped grow PCM's revenue from approximately $3.5 million to $45 million. Bob’s management background also includes sales and marketing roles at Lotus Development and General Mills.

 

Stephen K Smith, General Partner, Masthead Venture Partners

Stephen K. Smith has more than two decades of experience as a venture capital investor and equity analyst covering technology companies. Prior to joining Masthead, Mr. Smith spent sixteen years as a top-ranked Wall Street analyst for PaineWebber, Inc. Prior to working at PaineWebber, Mr. Smith spent six years in the computer industry, first with British computer manufacturer ICL, and then with the management consulting firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he consulted to the financial services industry on technology-related issues. Mr. Smith holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a First Class Honors Degree in Computer Science from Brighton Polytechnic University in England. He is a director of C/Base Inc. (Ecount) and serves on the boards of Bitpipe, Tizor, and Packet Design, LLC, all Masthead portfolio companies. He is also a board member of Maine's Small Enterprise Growth Fund. Mr. Smith is an active member of CommonAngels, a Boston-based group of active angel investors who are mostly founders of successful New England high technology companies. He also founded and subsequently sold High Tech Catalysts Inc., an investment banking firm and licensed broker-dealer.
