Assymetric Routes |

|---|---|
Asymmetric routes occur when the unidirectional paths between two hosts or routed prefixes differ. It is general practice to avoid aysmettric routes, as they can induce hard to understand traffic flows. In large, redundant networks, variations and errors in routing behavior such as asymmetric routes can be very difficult to find and understand due to the complexity and rapidity of routing protocols. In addition, engineers need visibility into routing in order to ensure consistent delivery of application performance to their end users. Route analytics technology pioneered by Packet Design provide unique real-time visibility into EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS and BGP routing behavior. Packet Design's Route Explorer provides unprecedented visibility and analysis features for EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS and BGP routing. Route Explorer route analytics features include:
