EXPERNET TO RESELL PACKET DESIGN'S
PALO ALTO , Calif. , May 15, 2006 – Seoul, South Korea-based Expernet Co., Ltd., has signed an agreement to resell network management products from Packet Design, Inc., into the Korean information technology market. Expernet will sell Packet Design's Route Explorer and Traffic Explorer products to a wide range of South Korean enterprises and service providers. Route Explorer creates an end-to-end map of the layer 3 routing topology, showing routing changes as they occur. Traffic Explorer layers traffic-flow data onto this map, providing the first network-wide, "topology-aware" view of network traffic. The two products help network engineers quickly identify and resolve problems, maintain large IP networks more effectively, and do more accurate network-change planning. J.K. Lee, Expernet CEO, said, " For customers facing network operation and routing management problems in complex IP networks, Packet Design's Route Explorer provides a unique solution that helps maximize network efficiency, reduce operational costs and improve reliability. Route Explorer will help Expernet pioneer a new market in South Korea for Layer 3 management, which we plan to market aggressively to communication and financial firms as well as service providers. " Michel Maeso, Packet Design's executive vice president of worldwide sales, said, "Expernet has established a strong track record working on advanced networking projects with the top users in one of the world's most advanced IT and telecom markets. This partnership will help Packet Design gain a strong foothold in the South Korean market as we continue to grow our business across the Asia-Pacific region." In conjunction with the signing of their partnership agreement, Packet Design and Expernet in the coming months will present a series of seminars targeting key South Korean vertical markets, including telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services. About Expernet Expernet is a leading reseller to the South Korean IT market, with a strong focus on security and content networking.
